Robert W. Schunk, Jacqueline Ionescu and Paul Chase, Jr. form the leadership of Robert W. Schunk, PE, Consulting Engineers, PC. One of these individuals acts as project manager for each project from the initial conceptual phase thru design, bidding and contractor selection, construction, project completion and after. It is our goal to develop ongoing relationships with each client which extend beyond the construction phases and provide service and support to the client for as long as he requires our services.

Robert W. Schunk, PE is the firm Principal. Mr. Schunk has over 35 years of experience in the construction industry. A graduate of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Mr. Schunk served in the US Army Corps of Engineers and worked for a number of Mechanical Contracting firms before joining the firm of Sanford O. Hess and Associates, Consulting Engineers in 1975 as a Project Engineer. After the death of Sanford Hess in 1987, he assumed the Presidency of Sanford O. Hess and Associates and successfully ran the firm until his departure to start Robert W. Schunk, Consulting Engineers in December 1993.
Mr. Schunk is a member of ASHRAE, NSPE, CSI, NFPA, BOCA, ICBO and is a licensed Professional Engineer as well as a licensed Mechanical Contractor in the State of Connecticut.

Jacqueline Ionescu is the Senior Mechanical Project Engineer. Ms. Ionescu has over twenty-five years Mechanical Design, Engineering and Project Management with several firms and joined Robert W. Schunk, Consulting Engineers in early 1994. Ms. Ionescu holds a Masters Degree in Construction Technology from the Institute for Construction in Bucharest, Romania and is a member of ASHRAE.
Ms. Ionescu is responsible for HVAC Design for the projects she manages as well supervising and coordinating all Plumbing and Sprinkler Design work for RWSPE.

Paul Chase is the Senior Electrical Project Engineer. Mr. Chase has over thirty years Electrical design, Engineering, Project Management and Construction experience with several firms and joined Robert W. Schunk, Consulting Engineers in late 1994. Mr. Chase holds an Associate Degree in Architectural Engineering from Norwalk State Technical College and is a member of IES and NFPA. Mr. Chase is responsible for the design and coordination of all Electrical work produced by RWSPE.
